Furnishing a home rarely happens all at once. Most people solve one room, live with it, and then move to the next.
Raleigh is the largest city in the service area, and its range of housing stock means measurements matter more than category names. Raleigh spans Inside-the-Beltline homes with narrow original doorways, mid-century ranches, and new construction with wide entries, so the delivery path is worth measuring before you order.
We are a family-owned store at 3921 S Miami Blvd, Durham, NC 27703, and Raleigh customers are served out of that one 50,000-square-foot showroom. Raleigh sits east of the showroom, typically reached via I-40, an I-40 trip that varies with rush hour. Everything below reflects how we actually operate, including the parts that limit what we can promise.
Planning the Space Honestly
Start with the room rather than the furniture. These are the constraints that decide the outcome.
· which room genuinely needs solving first
· how much of the budget each room deserves
· whether finishes need to coordinate across sightlines
· what has to arrive before a specific date
Timing an I-40 trip outside peak hours makes a Raleigh showroom visit considerably easier.
Judging Pieces in Person

· living room seating and tables
· bedroom sets and individual pieces
· dining tables and chairs

· mattresses and bases
· outdoor and patio seating
· rugs, lighting, mirrors, and accents

From Showroom to Living Room
· Orders need to be paid in full before we can put a delivery or pickup on the calendar.
· Our own delivery team and trucks handle local runs, usually Monday through Saturday.
· Give us a day's notice to change a delivery; inside that window the fee applies regardless.
· Choose White Glove Delivery and the crew handles indoor placement, assembly, and packaging removal.
· Because both distance and load affect it, the delivery fee is quoted against your specific order.
· We schedule a specific delivery day with an approximate three-hour window, and that window can widen for out-of-town stops.
Two limits apply, and knowing them early avoids surprises. If a hallway, doorway, or stairwell makes maneuvering genuinely unsafe, the piece is set in the nearest suitable room and final placement is yours. Existing furniture stays where it is unless you have moved it; the crew does not take it away.
Open up hallways, stairways, and doorways beforehand, and let us know early about outside access problems. Secure children and pets while the crew is working, and check the order for accuracy before they leave.
Book a pickup appointment; that is how the team makes sure everything is ready to go. Raleigh customers weighing pickup against delivery should factor the I-40 return trip with a loaded vehicle into the comparison. Confirm your vehicle's dimensions, bring moving supplies, and expect to handle the loading, which is not something the team does.
We store paid orders for up to 60 days at no cost; beyond that window, arrange an extension or items may be forfeited and donated to Restore.

Timing, Financing, and Warranty
On timing: many items are in stock and available for immediate or same-day delivery or pickup. Special orders vary with manufacturer availability, holidays, and custom work; the team can give a clearer estimate at or before point of sale.
On assembly: factory-direct items need minimal light assembly and arrive with instructions, hardware, and basic tools; delivery crews assemble and remove packaging.
On financing: we work with Snap, Synchrony, and Wells Fargo, with options for a range of credit types with monthly payments, subject to approval and each program's terms. Snap advertises approval decisions in seconds and lease-to-own amounts up to $5,000. We accept financing, Visa, Mastercard, Discover, or cash.
On coverage: everything sold carries a manufacturer warranty, which varies by manufacturer, and an optional 5-year protection plan is available, priced by what is covered.
What We Bring to the Decision
Jenny, Scott, and their kids live in Apex, which is also where Capital Discount Furniture began. They built the business from the ground up, and they stay active in the community and with Hope Community Church, looking for ways to give back.
For Raleigh shoppers the practical upshot is factory-direct pricing: family ownership keeps pricing decisions in-house, and there is a best price guarantee behind it. More than 1,300 five-star Google reviews sit alongside WRAL Voters' Choice Award, Cary Living's Diamond Award, Indy Week's Best of the Triangle, and Cary Magazine's Maggy Award.
Brands on the floor include Classic Home, Rowe, LMCO, Vaughan-Bassett, Sunset West Outdoor, Fusion Furniture, Sealy, and Liberty Furniture, among others. We also offer Renew Staging & Design, an in-house staging and design service.
Hours are Monday-Friday 11am-7pm, Saturday 10am-5pm, Sunday 12pm-5pm, and a quick call to (919) 600-1994 confirms whether a specific item is on display, which is worth doing before driving from Raleigh. Se Habla Espanol.

Answers to Common Questions
How does the best price guarantee work?
It backs the factory-direct pricing model. If you have found the same piece elsewhere for less, raise it at point of sale and the team can address it directly. See store for details on how it applies to a specific item.
Can you store my order if my place is not ready?
Yes, up to 60 days from point of sale at no charge. Beyond that, without an arrangement made ahead of time, items may be forfeited and donated to Restore, so talk to us before the window closes.
Do you carry more than one brand?
Yes. The showroom carries Ashley, Hooker, Liberty, Vaughan-Bassett, Artisan & Post, International Furniture Direct, Universal, Fusion, Southern Motion, Craftmaster, Rowe, Kincaid, and others, plus Tempur-Pedic, Sealy, Stearns & Foster, Brooklyn Bedding, and Helix in mattresses.
How many rooms should I try to furnish at once?
There is no single answer, but the practical constraint is usually delivery rather than budget. Furnishing several rooms in one order means one delivery fee and one three-hour window instead of several. If the budget will not stretch that far, solving one room completely tends to beat half-solving three.
Is delivery or pickup more practical from Raleigh?
It depends on the piece. Pickup is by appointment and the team will not load your vehicle, so a dining table or bedroom set usually favors delivery. A single nightstand or accent piece can be worth the I-40 trip if your vehicle genuinely fits it.
